Slept the evening away with a sore throat. Woke up to make this. I limited myself (with time and size) because I need to rest, but I did add a color. This is how it looks tonight. I’ll be interested to see if the color holds up after the print is completely dry.
The Artist Reflects, Monotype of the Day #85
I struggled to get anything tonight. Some times in the studio are like that. This is the best if the lot: can you tell I fought with the ink tonight?

So I was printing a second layer on this piece when my dyslexia kicked in and I put the paper on the plate the wrong way. I was pissed because it was really looking good and I ruined it. I set the print aside, but it kept calling so I just kept layering more prints on top. What do you think of this new technique?

The Mirror, Monotype of the Day #82
I struggled mightily with my print tonight. I had a spat with my ink, I exchanged heated words with my plate. Nothing went right. This is the best of the lot, but I did get a kernel of an idea that I’m really excited about. I’ll be working on it tomorrow. For now, I NEED SLEEP! 😊
Untitled, Monotype of the Day #80
I don’t have a title yet, I need to live with this piece for a little while.

The artist as Fish, Monotype of the Day #71
Still thinking about yesterday’s fish. I tried layering prints on top of each other. This is 3 prints in one. I like the uneven edges. Traditional printmakers would look down on this, but I like the hand of the artist to be visible in the work. Titled- The artist as Fish
